Katie understands the unique challenges of being a miniature horse.

Dear Katie, I am a 34 inch National Champion miniature horse.  I keep trying to grow thick winter coat like yours but my owner keeps shaving it off and putting a blanket on me.  How can can I get my owner to let me grow a winter coat?  – Want to Be Wooly

Dear Wooly, I feel your pain.  One year I, too, was shaved and had to go to some shows.  Fortunately, that was short-lived.  Your best bet is to do really poorly in the show ring.  Rear, bite people and roll during your halter class.  Make your neck look really short.  Soon you will get to stay home and grow a winter coat. – Katie
