Katie Understands It’s Important to Eat Fresh Greens Every Day

Katie understands the unique challenges of being a miniature horse.

Dear Katie, I am a 33 inch tall miniature horse.  My own pasture is very thin and sparse.  I am unable to gain a lot of extra weight on it.  My neighbors have a lush pasture with cows in it.  How can I get to eat the lush pasture?  Signed, Craving Greens

Dear Craving Greens, Your owner thinks you are too fat, but she is mistaken.  As you can see, I escape and eat grass all the time in order to maintain my extra weight.  When your owner leaves the gate open, wander over to the neighbors’ pasture and crawl under the fence.  Terrorize the cows so they stay at one end and eat all the lush grass you want.  When someone finds you, they will put you back in the sparse, stemmy pasture and you will have to find a new way to escape. – Katie

Grass is not like eating a salad to horses; it provides enough nutrients and calories for a full meal. Ponies should not eat too much of it at once! (They might eat hay instead.) 🙂

What do you think?
