More Horse Shopping

DSC08426

We’re going to look at another horse tomorrow, the second one this week.  He is not fancy.  I’ve gotten into trouble with fancy.   Maybe he’ll turn out to be our next  riding horse.  My criteria has been downgraded to safe, sane and sound.   I know he will not be a Bwert;  this one is definitely gelded.

Best of luck, and hope it works out for you guys. Safe, sane, and sound are all good! Bwert, not so much! 😉

thanks, DR. Hard to get hopes up since we have made so many drives and not found anything truly sane yet.

Good luck! “Safe, sane, and sound” seems like great criteria.

Thank you! I hope it is all true.

Sane is a good trait…watch out for the big ones! They make you buy bigger trailers!

So true! We had one briefly who barely fit in our slant load. This guy is 14.3 but tanky.

Good horse for someone else. He was a fine horse but not going to work for what we want to do.

Pleasant but unsucessful beats ‘What were they thinking?!?’. Better luck with the next one.

Thanks! There was a moment where I thought this guy might work but he would be better as a trail horse. Tomorrow eve. we have an appt. to see a paint mare. The one we just saw was a lease, so I had hoped he would have worked out.

The paint we looked at bucked with the owner. Not once but 5-6 times and swished and was generally not something I wanted to get on so we left without riding that one. Not looking any more at this moment. I think everyone is trying to unload their problem horses.

“I think everyone is trying to unload their problem horses.”

      A world of yes.

What do you think?
